The name is a bit of a joke; before Steve and Annie Haley founded the company in July 2011, they did a bit of everything. Steve developed Android apps and did some consultancy for an aerospace manufacturing project, while Annie ran a craft stall. Their friends would tell them that they “had their fingers in every pie”, and they thought that would make a funny company name. Hence MultiPie was born!
We’ve since focused down to mobile apps, but we still do many different kinds of apps on both Android and iOS. This makes sure that we have relevant experience, regardless of what kind of app you might like to commission. For example, we’ve made a social network for healthy eating, marketing apps for universities, games and most recently a tool for a precision engineering manufacturing company.
Our first game, Spectrum Puzzles, was featured several times by Amazon, including being the American Free App of the Day in August 2011. After such prominent featuring, it shot to being Amazon’s 3rd highest rated Android game for two months, and stayed in the top 100 best selling games for over six months. Another of our apps, Calibre Companion, was released in late 2012 and as of September 2013, has stayed in the top 20 apps in the Books and Reference category.
We hit another major milestone in September 2013 when our first employee, Dave, joined the team. This is an exciting time and we look forward to continuing to do brilliant work for our clients.
